Pull the dominant colors out of any image

Drag and drop an image, or click to browse

JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF

How to use it

  1. 1Drag and drop an image, or click to browse.
  2. 2The most dominant colors are extracted automatically — pick 4 to 10 colors, and sort by dominance or by hue.
  3. 3Copy any swatch's hex code with one click, or grab the whole palette as CSS variables.

Supported formats & limits

Supports common formats like JPG, PNG, and WebP. Processing happens in your browser.

Example

Upload a product photo or a piece of artwork to pull out its most dominant colors (4 to 10, your choice), each with a hex code, RGB value, and the rough share of the image it covers — handy for matching a brand palette or a design mockup to a photo. Grab the whole set at once with “Copy as CSS variables.”

How it works

Your image is sampled pixel by pixel, with similar colors grouped into buckets. The most frequent buckets become your palette, each shown as the average color of every pixel in that group — entirely in your browser, without uploading the image anywhere. Sort by dominance to see the most common colors first, or by hue to see them ordered around the color wheel instead.
