- 2Pick JPEG or WebP as the output format, then adjust the quality slider.
- 3Compare the original and compressed size, then download.
Supported formats & limits
Supports common formats like JPG, PNG, and WebP. Processing happens in your browser.
Example
A 4 MB photo re-encoded as JPEG at 75% quality often shrinks to a few hundred KB with almost no visible difference — dragging the quality slider down trades a little more detail for an even smaller file.
How it works
Your image is drawn onto a canvas and re-encoded as JPEG or WebP at the quality level you choose — both are “lossy” formats that discard some detail to save space. Switching to JPEG flattens any transparency onto a white background first, since JPEG can't represent it. Everything happens locally in your browser; the image is never uploaded anywhere.
